Tasting Notes
Domaine de Chevalier Blanc is a highlight of the vintage – and possibly the best rendition of this wine to date. The nose is limey and pure, with honeysuckle, lemon peel and apple blossom. There is incredible drive to the palate, which has salty intensity, mineral purity and a long, persistent finish, with a waxy breadth to the texture. It’s lively, impressive and should develop beautifully in bottle. 12.8% alcohol and 3.13pH. Blend: 75% Sauvignon Blanc, 25% Semillon

Always a classy white from this great estate, the 2024 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc is based on 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Sémillon, and is aging in equal parts new, once-used, and twice-used barrels. It shows bright, racy acidity and outstanding length, with vibrant notes of crushed citrus, honeyed minerality, mint, and subtle spice. Medium-bodied and impeccably balanced, it should continue to fill out nicely over the course of its élevage. Tasted multiple times.
After a little shaking, notes of fresh pears, lemon pie, and lime blossoms slowly emerge from the glass, leading to touches of coriander seed and wet pebbles. The light-bodied palate is tightly wound and intense with mineral and citrus layers giving way to a long, chalky finish. Classic great, age-worthy DDC Blanc!
A blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Sémillon, the 2024 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc reveals aromas of crisp stone fruit, confit citrus and flowers. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and layered, it's sappy and bright with a gently oaky frame and a long, ethereal finish.
