Tasting Notes
Notes of pear, peach, fresh bread, nutmeg and mandarin orange introduce Roulot's 2019 Meursault Vireuils, a medium to full-bodied, racy and chiseled wine that combines ripe fruit with tangy acids in a vintage-typical marriage. This is quite rich for a young Vireuils, but I suspect it will tighten up during another winter on the lees.

The last to be picked as ever, on 12th September at 14%, but with concentrated acidity too. A little more lime and fresh herb to the nose. This is better balanced than the blended Meursault, as the acidity tames the richness, but leaves some of the cooked liquorice notes. However, it is very persistent and I like it. Tasted: October 2020.
