Tasting Notes
This may have been a tricky year, however the 2012 Belle-Brise shines – with bright fruit and violet florals on the inviting nose. The palate is delicate, supple and charming – a very pleasing wine packed with appeal.
Beautiful perfume on the nose, exotic and enticing, this just keeps going with layer upon layer of red and dark fruit revealed with time in the glass. Classic Belle Brise on the palate, a satin-like texture and beautiful purity of fruit are balanced by super-fine tannins and incredible depth. The finish is dazzling in the way it delivers its weightless power. Ethereal and almost haunting, a remarkable expression of a great Pomerol terroir.
About the producer

Tucked away in Pomerol’s southwest corner Ch. Belle-Brise is the ultimate insider’s Bordeaux. With just two hectares of walled garden vineyard, production at this estate is minuscule, making it one of the rarest wines in the marketplace (and arguably more exclusive than either Pétrus or Le Pin).
