Tasting Notes
A silky and refined red with plum, berry and cherry character. Medium body and a fresh finish. Shows finesse and beauty. Lively acidity. Best ever. All the Testamatta and Colore is declassified into this. Wow. Drink or hold.

A pure expression of Sangiovese, the 2014 Soffocone di Vincigliata is a mid weight wine with a dark ruby appearance. The nose reveals some raw notes with plum, dark berry and spice. The interesting fact is that although the wine does not strive to deliver pure balance in a conventional sense, it does show a unique sense of harmony. It takes a while, but ultimately this wine comes together in seamless fashion. Be warned, however, that it keeps you guessing for a very long time. Jan 2017, www.robertparker.com
About the producer
Based just outside Florence, Bibi Graetz is something of a maverick in the Tuscan wine scene. Working with old vineyards of indigenous grapes around Chianti, he produces intense wines classified as IGT Toscana; not fitting neatly in either the Super Tuscan or Chianti camp.
