FINE+RARE, Sep 2023

Despite a slightly tricky vintage this is still hallmark Pomerol with inviting aromas and flavours of ripe plum and delicate sweet spice. Not as powerful as warmer and more heralded vintages, but with ample fruit, smooth tannins and a delightful, rounded texture. Bright and fresh. Extremely satisfying and showing partially well now, for the year.

FINE+RARE, Nov 2017

The 2011 has a gorgeous autumnal profile, with ripe juicy plums, forest floor, leather and tobacco notes. There is certainly more development present, and this is a vintage that will drink perfectly in the near term, showing attractive tertiary notes.

About the producer

Château Belle-Brise - producer
Belle Brise

Tucked away in Pomerol’s southwest corner Ch. Belle-Brise is the ultimate insider’s Bordeaux. With just two hectares of walled garden vineyard, production at this estate is minuscule, making it one of the rarest wines in the marketplace (and arguably more exclusive than either Pétrus or Le Pin).
